We are not a campus university that also streams a few lectures. EAAS was designed from the start to be studied online — which changes what we build, how we teach, and who we are able to reach.
Study from anywhere, on your own schedule
All teaching is delivered through our virtual learning environment at my.eaas.mt. Live sessions run online, and because every session is recorded, live attendance is not compulsory — you can follow the programme across time zones and around shift work.
Designed around working lives
Choose full-time over three years or part-time over four. Both routes cover the same 180 ECTS and cost the same — part-time simply spreads the same study across a longer period, so working professionals aren't penalised for needing more time.
You never leave empty-handed
Our degrees are built as a ladder of awards. Complete 30, 60 or 90 ECTS and you exit with a recognised Certificate, Diploma or Higher Diploma — not a partial transcript. Life gets in the way; your study should still count for something.
Entry routes that value experience
Formal qualifications are only one way in. Through Recognition of Prior Learning, your professional experience can be formally assessed for entry — opening higher education to people whose careers came before their certificates.
Transparent, predictable fees
One published figure, both study modes: €2,000 per semester across six semesters. No application fee, no campus levy, no relocation or accommodation costs — and no travel required to attend a single class.
Quality you can inspect for yourself
Our academic regulations, assessment rules, grading system, ethics and external-examiner arrangements are published in full and free to download — before you apply, not after you enrol.
Structured teaching, not a stack of videos
Online study only works when it is properly designed. Our delivery model combines scheduled live teaching with self-paced material, so you get both the discipline of a timetable and the flexibility of studying when it suits you.
Live, scheduled teaching
- Interactive classes delivered through BigBlueButton, our live virtual classroom — with screen sharing, breakout discussion and Q&A.
- Sessions are recorded and published, so nothing is lost if you are working, travelling or in another time zone.
- Personalised tutoring and academic guidance from the teaching team throughout each module.
- Contact with industry practitioners who bring current tourism and hospitality practice into the classroom.
Self-paced learning
- Every module lives on Moodle, the learning platform used by universities worldwide, at my.eaas.mt.
- Readings, activities, quizzes and assignment briefs are available continuously — study in the evening, at weekends, in short sessions.
- Progress, deadlines, grades and feedback are all visible in one place.
- A mobile app for iOS and Android means your course travels with you.

Three ways in
Our entry routes are written to recognise different starting points — school qualifications, vocational diplomas, or a career built without a degree.
You have school qualifications
A Matriculation Certificate at MQF Level 4 or equivalent, supported by evidence of relevant work experience.
You already hold a diploma
A relevant MQF Level 5 diploma gives you direct entry to degree study.
You have built a career
Through Recognition of Prior Learning, your professional experience is formally assessed as your route in.
Studied anywhere, awarded in the European Union
You study from wherever you live — but your qualification comes from Malta, a European Union member state with English as an official language, and is regulated by the MFHEA under the Malta Qualifications Framework.
The MQF is referenced to the European Qualifications Framework and aligned with the Bologna Process and the ECTS credit system. Once our accreditation with the MFHEA is confirmed, an EAAS award will therefore be readable and comparable across the European Higher Education Area — and by employers and universities that use it — with the same standing as a qualification earned on a campus.
That is the point of studying online with a European institution: the flexibility is in the delivery, not in the standard.
